OAK Flats Lions and Lioness Clubs celebrated 32 years and 21 years respectively of community aid and service at this years annual changeover dinner held on June 24 at the Aviator Lounge Restaurant at Illawarra Regional Airport.

Highlighting the years achievements, Club President Rob Holt thanked club members for their efforts and described the results as fantastic.

Among the many projects, appeals and fund raising activities throughout the year, he said the most notable ones included providing a wheelchair vehicle through the Luke Jordan Appeal, purchasing a blood monitor machine for Shellharbour Hospital and providing an Insulin pump through the Joel Miller Appeal.

Mr Holt commented that it was a measure of club members confidence in the? Clubs officers that the incoming officers for 2006/07 were the same as the outgoing officers for 2005/06.

We will work hard in the coming year to ensure that the members confidence in us is warranted, Mr Holt said.

Lions and Lionesses are volunteers with a commitment to helping those in need.

I am looking forward to continuing on with the work we do in the year ahead.
