ELEVEN year old Albion Park schoolboy Drew Hutchison has been selected to play Rugby Union for NSW in the PSSA Philmore Shield, in Adelaide next month.
Drew is one of only three schoolboys selected from the Illawarra region to represent NSW.
A real all rounder, Drew plays Union, League and Touch football, as well as being proficient in swimming and track and field.
His local Union team played in the State championships last weekend in Sydney and came seventh in the State.
Drew says he is excited about being selected to play for his State in the 3-day Philmore Shield competition to be played over the weekend of September 22, 23, 24.
Im a bit nervous, but its awesome to be going there to play, said Drew.
Im really looking forward to it.
I think we should do okay, because weve got a pretty strong team.
