UNICOMBE WINS PRESIDENTS AWARD

WARILLA Barrack-Point Surf Lifesaving season has officially ended another successful season with the eagerly awaited presentation night.

With Member for the Illawarra Marianne Saliba and Shellharbour Lord Mayor David Hamilton on hand to witness, the highlight of the evening after Ashleigh Unicombe won the Presidents award and the under 19-age champions award.

David Smith took out the under 19-age champion to his impressive season and was joined by Hayden White, Cameron Warren, and Blair Day who won gold at the Australian Championships in the Tube Rescue, as team of the year.

The Overall Point score Champion and most consistent performer throughout the year was Hayden White and the veterans were not to be outdone with Darrin James being rewarded for another great year.

The patrol of the Year - Patrol Number 5 consisting of Captain Michael Beveridge, Lisa Milne, Michael Carberry, Susie Barnes, Greg Barnes, Allan Beveridge, Rhonda Jones, David Rojas, Kurt Allen, Kerry Perretta

Patrol Person of the Year - Bruce Webb

A special thanks to the club sponsors Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club, Warilla Hotel, Wals Pharmacy, The Arapali Family, Michael Edwards Financial Services and Shellharbour Rotary Club.

The club are now set to hit the beach at 3pm on June 24th for winter board training, with all new members welcome.
