WITH almost a million dollars raised across New South Wales during World's Greatest Shave the Illawarra certainly did its bit.

A number of people across the region took part in the charity event, which raises money for the Leukaemia Foundation, including employees from Curves in Warrawong and Rankins Funerals.

The Leukaemia Foundation continues to support patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.

The Foundation provides free support services including information and resources, education and support programs, transportation to and from treatment, "?home away from home' accommodation close to major hospitals, practical assistance and emotional support/counselling.

They fund cutting edge research into better treatments and cures through their National Research Program.

The Foundation also funds research grants, scholarships and fellowships to promote innovative research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of these cancers and related disorders.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part in this years World's Greatest Shave.
