SHELLHARBOUR Beach officially opened for the 2006-2007 season on Saturday September 30, in what some believe to be the start of a great season.
Whilst the Junior Club does not officially begin until Sunday October 15, many have already been down the beach enjoying the pre-season training programs, which have been running since August.
The club says that lanes have been booked at Oak Flats swimming pool, on October 7 and 14, from 10am-12 noon, giving the Juniors opportunities to do their timed pool swims, prior to commencement of the season.
According to the club, registrations have been extremely strong, with a great number of new members across all age groups.
Speaking on behalf of the club, Publicity Manager Carol Tyne says they all look forward to having an enormous year, with plenty of activity down the beach.
