Mayor David Hamilton and mayoress, Moira Hamilton celebrate at Subway
IT was sandwiches all around when Subway in Shellharbour Village celebrated their first birthday recently.
The owners of the franchise Pam and Paul Kane offered hungry passers-by a two for one deal and had cake and decorations to add to the festivities.
Shellharbour Mayor and Mayoress David and Moira Hamilton were on hand to help cut the cake and congratulate the couple on the success achieved over the past year.
Pam said she and her husband would like to thank the local community for supporting them over the past year and look forward to many more years as one of the villages most popular eateries.
It is only because people choose to eat here that we can keep our business going, she said.
She said they are very proud of the fact all of their staff are local kids, so they are doing their bit giving back to the community also.
You can find Subway on Addison Street in Shellharbour Village.
