SIX Shellharbour juniors took their place in the South Coast Surf Lifesaving Branch Team that headed north over the weekend to Crowdy Head for the NSW InterBranch Championships.
Leading the way for the Shellharbour contingent was Zoe Elkerton, who finished third in the under 13 years girls Surf Swim and brought home the silver for the under 13 years girls ironperson.
Jaimee Lee Cotter proved her strength on the beach by finish taking the silver in the under 15s beach sprint event and backing up for fifth in the flags.
Also competing in the under 15s Jacob Helson put in some courageous efforts against some very strong competition in the water events, whereas Luke McKay was valiant in defeat on the beach.
First Time representatives Tiarna Edwards and Matthew Jones made the most of their experience this year, and whilst they didnt come home with a medal, have returned with a wealth of experience from competing at this level.
Shellharbour Junior Surf Lifesaving is now looking to round out on a high note at the final round of the Sydney Water Series to be held at Port Kembla Beach this Saturday morning.
