SHELLHARBOUR City Sharks have qualified for a showdown with minor premiers Albion Park-Oak Flats next weekend after comfortably downing Nowra Warriors 38-28 at Ron Costello Oval.
In a match that never really rose to any great heights, the Sharks were in charge for most of the game, but will have some worries mid-weekafter hookerAdam Taylor was sent off two minutes from fulltime for an alleged high tackle.
JamieManukonga scored a great solo try in the 11th minute to get his side on the board before Tom Hewson replied for the Warriors who went ahead soon after when a kick wasnt covered and Adrian Weller scored out wide for Leigh Ardler to convert.
It only took the Sharks four minutes to get back on track when hooker Adam Taylor scored a soft try from dummy-half and two minutes before the break RyanSchuster scored wide out, his brother Hans converting to give his side an 18-10 halftime lead.
The second half was a real tussle and although Warriors stayed in touch for most of the half the Sharks always looked like winning and it was only Taylors late dismissal that proved to be a major worry with the clash against the Eagles only a week away.
Gary Shakespear, Jamie Manukonga, Hans Schuster and Phil Lopez were the standouts for the Sharks, while Richie Luland,Geoff Johnson and John Carey were best for the Warriors.
