SHELLHARBOUR City Rowing Club is inviting interested persons to take part in the clubs Learn to Row Program. The program allows a wider range of the community to participate in the sport of rowing. Each program consists of 6 x2 hour sessions that provide participants with a basic understanding of crew rowing. Sessions are held on Sat & Sun, starting at 8.00am. Those who successfully completed the course will be invited to join the club to participate in competitive club regattas or social rowing on Lake Illawarra.

Rowing is a demanding sport both mentally and physically and applicants are required to be reasonably fit as well as a capable swimmer.

Minimum age is 14 years, with a minimum weight restriction of 48kg for girls and 55kg for boys. Cost of the Learn to Row Course is $90 (payable in full by cash or cheque only) and limited to 16 participants ensuring a pupil to instructor ratio of 4:1.
