WEEKEND rain played havoc with South Coast Junior Cricket, with a number of matches in the under 16s abandoned.

However, there was some action in the under 14B competition, where Albion Park Green scored an outright win over Shellharbour White.

The Eagles racked up a mammoth 6/278 (dec) before spearing Shellharbour out for 86 and 47.

That translated to a mammoth innings and 145 run win for the Eagles.

There was more joy for Albion Park in the under 14As, as the Eagles scored a first-innings win over Corrimal.

The Eagles’ hot streak came to an end in the under 12As, where Shellharbour Blue scored a 2/66 to 8/64 win.

Shellharbour White, meanwhile, scored a big 6/124 to 7/71 win over The Rail.

Keiran Gilly had an impressive double for the Razorbacks with 2/9 and 27 while Ken Nguyen hammered 22 for Shellharbour.

In the 12Bs, Jamberoo scored 5/90, led by 17 not out from Nelson Ivanoff, 13 not out from Liam Ragen and 12 by Cody McParland.

That was enough to edge Shellharbour Blue, who scored 2/88.

In the 10As, Shellharbour White (7/155) defeated Warilla 8/62 while Oak Flats and Shellharbour Blue had a tie. Kiama (7/135) defeated Shellharbour Silver (56) to complete the round.

Meanwhile, round two of the South Coast under 16 Twenty20 competition has been played.

Kiama scored an impressive 27-run win over Lake Illawarra, while Shellharbour B defeated Albion Park B by five wickets. Kane Jones (26 not out) and Daniel Trunzo (25 not out) then combined to take Shellharbour past their victory target.

Warilla scored a 24-run win over The Rail to complete the round.
