Albion Park High School will please fans of black comedy next month when it presents Little Shop of Horrors, the 1980’s Broadway musical that was based on a 1960’s cult classic film of the same name.

The Albion Park production is the result of more than six months’ preparation and will feature a 45-student cast and crew from Years 7 to 12, including a live student band.

Student Timothy Pattison, the technical manager for the production, said the students were rehearsing three and four times a week and were excited about performing.

The performance was choreographed by teacher Suzanne Ross and her daughter Rebecca.

Albion Park High School’s Little Shop of Horrors will run at the school’s performance hall every night from Wednesday, June 4, to Saturday, June 7, from 7.30pm.

Tickets can be pre-purchased at the school’s office from 8am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, at a cost of $12 for adults or $7 for those under 15, or phone 4257 1744.
