New approach needed in tough times

Change has come to America at long last and Bazza Obama has got the top job..........good luck brother, you will need plenty of it.
Will we ever see CHANGE in Shellharbour City? Not likely while we have the current general manager who does not know how to think outside the box.
Here are a few suggestions: firstly, introduce a pay freeze for all senior bureaucrats, next, the section 94 management plan must be updated to reflect the economic realities of the immediate future and build only those community facilities that generate income as a priority.
Introduce a 50 per cent base rate for the next rate year and eliminate all wastage in the Council’s operations.
Big ticket items are beyond the capacity of this general manager to deliver so the “white elephant’’ proposal to build a new administration building at an inappropriate location must be scrapped.
It is outrageous that ratepayers are funding this incompetence.
