WITH National Youth Week running from Saturday April 7 and through until Sunday April 22 Shellharbour Council is offering a number of activities including a skate competition and live gigs.
National Youth Week activities include:
Thursday April 12
Sk8 @ Stockland
1 pm to 4 pm in the courtyard outside Council's Administration Building and RTA.
Sk8 @ Stockland is a skate competition with great prizes on offer. Entry to compete is free but a signed permission note is required. Prizes include Stockland gift cards. For information and permission forms phone Blackbutt Youth Centre on 4295 3820.
Saturday April 14
Gig & Graff @ BYC
12 noon to 4 pm at Blackbutt Youth Centre.
The Blackbutt Youth Centre will pack a punch with three local bands performing including "The Conspiracy Plan", "Neverest" & "Pathos".
A graffiti competition will also be held. Participants will have 10 minutes to sketch a chosen word, and then they will have 10 minutes to spray the image onto a canvas.
Tuesday April 17
Graf Day @ Albion Park
Budding graffiti artists will design & spray a mural at Albion Park. Contact Blackbutt Youth Centre for more details.
Thursday April 19
Gig @ the Library
6 pm to 9 pm at Albion Park Library.
A concert with a difference at Albion Park Library.
The week will also see Youth Services' Gullibles Performance Ensemble visit the South Coast with its "?Fairy Wings and Circus' tour. The talented group has received sponsorship from Shoalhaven City Council and Department of Housing to travel to Bomaderry, Nowra, Ulladulla, Batemans Bay and Moruya.
