THE Albion Park Womens Hockey Club was both thrilled and saddened on Saturday when their brilliant seventeen years old player Casey Eastham left with the Australian Womens Hockey Team, The Hockeyroos on a tour of America.
The team will compete against world champions, the Netherlands, Argentina and the USA in two series which will serve as a warm up to the World Cup to be held in Spain In September.
Casey was selected to play for the Hockeyroos after Australian coaches Frank Murray and Des King observed her at the u/21 World Cup last year and again this year in the Open and U/2 Australian Championships.
This is the start of Caseys senior representation and this tour will enable Casey to show her ability for future championships.
