SOUTH Coast Junior Rugby League clubs and potential players are invited to get involved in a massive registration day at Black Beach Reserve, Kiama today (Thursday).

All South Coast-Group Seven Junior Rugby League clubs have been asked to set up tables at the event, which will be held from 6pm to 7.30pm.

Black Beach reserve was chosen as the venue as it was a neutral venue.

Shellharbour Sharks, Stingrays, Kiama and Warilla-Lake South are the clubs confirmed for the event.

Registration fees are set according to which club kids want to play for in 2008.

The day will also include rugby league come ’n’ try activities and clinics run by ARL development officer Natalie Russell and CRL development officer Matt Schubert.

An appearance by some of the St George-Illawarra Dragons NRL squad will be a highlight of the event.

There will be plenty of posters and stickers to give away and the Dragons will be more than happy to sign some autographs.

Russell said as rugby league was celebrating its centenary, there was no better time to join the sport.

“This is the year to do it,” she said.

Youngsters can buy an ARL football and water bottle for $10 on the day.

In March, development officers from all rugby league stakeholders will hold a conference in Kiama.
