Maiden podium for Dave

AFTER being a podium threat for a number of seasons now, Albion Park Rail’s Dave Lambert has managed to break through for his first sprintcar podium finish when he placed third in the sixth round of the Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway (TPCR) Track Championship.
Lambert and his team were thrilled with their result and it has been a podium finish that has been a long time coming.
On Saturday night aboard his # 40 WESMAR 410ci powered Eagle the former speedcar front-runner really came of age.
“We have been up there on a few occasions over the past two seasons, but we just hadn’t been able to put together the whole package,” Lambert said.
With a podium finish now locked away, Lambert is focused on achieving similar results. Although pleased with his third place finish, Lambert quite possibly could have finished higher had it not been for a caution period in the latter stages of the 30-lap feature race.
What made the night even more special for Lambert was that his first podium finish in a Sprintcar was achieved on his daughter, Kaara’s, 16th birthday.
Lambert couldn’t have hoped for better form heading into the return of the World Series Sprintcar (WSS) Championship to TPCR this coming Saturday night.
