Life’s a giggle at Shellharbour

LAUGHTER is medicine for the soul, they say.
It can also be a great way to exercise, meet people and get that oxygen pumping round the body.
No-one knows that more than the Shellharbour Laughter Group, which meets near the swimming pool at Shellharbour Village every Saturday morning.
Members have been laughing for five years and say it's the best way to "forget your troubles".
"We have lots of fun," chief of the group, Doreen, said.
"Our oldest member is 88 and members come from all over the area," she said.
Attending the "laugh-in" is free and runs from 9.30am to 10am, with good company, a cuppa and conversation following.
"Laughter is free and it's the best thing you can do," Doreen said.
And they are not hard to find. You'll hear them before you see them. Another group meets at Hill 60, Port Kembla, near to the coastguard shed at 9.30am on Monday mornings.
