Grand day out for AFL juniors

JUNIOR AFL's marquee event of the season, grand final day, was held at Dalton Parkmon Saturday.
Success was broadly shared between various clubs with the Northern Districts Tigers taking the most premiership trophies home.
Under 10's and Under 9's games started the day in less than favourable conditions on a water-logged paddock.
The Wollongong Lions drew blood early in the 10s game following a difficult start, defeating the Tigers 37-12.
Best on ground Sam Hydes played strongly all game for a Lions team that wanted it more than their Northern Districts rivals.
The Figtree Kangaroos scored a nailbiting win in the under 9s, downing the Lions by six points. Zac Forst and Seb Lienert played well.
Highland Hawks won their first premiership with a win over Kiama Power in the under 11s final.
The under 12s final was a one-sided affair, with the Tigers overpowering the Kangaroos by 62 points.
Rory Davis was best on-ground in the Tigers' 3-11-80 to 3-0-18 victory.
In the under 13s, a rousing halftime speech by coach Greg McPherson helped the Tigers rally against the combined Shellharbour Swans/Kiama Power side.
The Tigers trailed by two points at halftime but came home strong in the final term to seal victory.
Northern Districts also scored a win in the under 15s decider, defeating Figtree 6-8-44 to 5-3-33.
