AN ALBION Park Primary School (APPS) quartet has returned from the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships with a gold medal.
The senior girls team of Lara Harrison, Brittney Marsden, Shanice Green and Skye Ryan won the 4 x 100m relay in a time of 55.33s.
What makes the girl’s victory all the more sweet is that they are all in year 6 and will graduate to high school in 2008.
To prepare for the PSSA championships, the girls did special training with APPS parent Peter Murphy.
“Peter has just been fantastic with the kids,” APPS deputy principal Michael Clancy said. “You could not get a nicer group of girls to have won a gold medal.”
