With over 5000 square miles (8000sq km’s) this is a huge open world environment ready to be torn up beneath the wheels of over 70 vehicles including motorbikes, ATV’s, buggy’s, cars, trucks.
There are 19 different zones to unlock by earning stars in the career mode within each one each as well as various other challenges.
There is no second place in this game though, you must win to achieve the stars and the higher you set the difficulty the more stars you receive.
If you just want to cruise around each zone you can do this without competition and go wherever you want except under water, (they are land vehicles after all and would get a little rusty).
There’s also a handy GPS that can be used in most races, challenges or by creating way points giving you red arrows pointing the way to your destination.
It has excellent weather simulation including lightening and rain, windstorms and environments that act up accordingly with falling trees and sand blowing around decreasing vision whether it be day or night.
