WOOLWORTHS Shellharbour played host to the Westmead Childrens Hospital Bandaged Bear last week as the supermarket entered the closing stages of its Fresh Future for Kids fundraising drive for 2006.

According to Wool-worths Shellharbour Store Manager, Manfred Kubitzky, they have raised $18,000 so far, with all funds going to the Westmead Childrens Hospital.

Id like to say a very big thankyou to all our shoppers for their generosity and support for our fund raising efforts, Mr Kubitzky said.

Everyone has been so generous, and weve all had a lot of fun in the process.

We are now only $2000 short of our target of $20,000 and with two weeks to go, I am sure we will make it, which will be great news for the hospital and all the kids who benefit from their care.

Bandaged Bear spent about an hour in the store.

He met children (and some not so young admirers too) and handing out lollies and stickers, before heading off to his next engagement.
