Shellharbour City Council's investigation into the unauthorised disclosure of confidential information will continue.
At an Extraordinary Meeting held last night, the steps undertaken by Council in terms of the investigation, referral to appropriate agencies and legal proceedings in the Land and Environment Court, were endorsed.
The investigation has reached a decisive point, following the gathering of evidence including information provided by a number of members of the community.
Council has received sworn statements which will lead to new parties being joined to the proceedings.
The matter is listed for directions on 27 April in the Land and Environment Court.
