IF 15 year-old Evan Dovern had his greatest wish, it would be to have his health back 100 percent.

But thats not possible at this stage, as he suffers from the degenerative disease, Muscular Dystrophy.

So the young man with personality plus, has another dream to create video games.

With this in mind, the Lake Times, the Good guys and Sleep Doctor went to work to do their bit in making that dream become more of a reality.

Owner of the Federal Publishing Company (FPC) (including the Lake Times) Michael Hannan has responded to Evans wish, presenting him with a computer.

A new printer has come to him, courtesy of the Good Guys and a new mattress was the gift from The Sleep Doctor.

Evan, who was diagnosed at two -and-a-half years old with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy requires a wheelchair to get from point A to point B.

But that doesnt hold him back one iota, says mum, Michelle.

Evan is an avid cricket player, a dab hand at pool and has been known to give the old drum kit a good hammering.

But none of these compare to his love of computer games.

Thats got to be my favourite hobby, he told the Lake Times.

Ive got a few ideas for games on the drawing board, particularly action games.

Evan received his computer and printer at the Shellharbour City Business Network meeting last Wednesday evening at the Seaspray Function Centre, with representative from FPC, Eddie Thomas presenting Evan with his new, state of the art computer.

It gave me a great deal of joy to present this gift to Evan, Mr Thomas said.

His plight has really touched not only the hearts of the Hannan family and the staff at the Lake Times but the whole community.

Im sure well see him achieve great things with his new acquisitions.

Evan received his new mattress from The Sleep Doctor last Monday.
