SHELLHARBOUR ROWING CLUB
SHELLHARBOUR City Rowing Club had a great time at a recent regatta in Canberra – and picked up some medals along the way.
The Shellharbour rowers competed at Regatta Park on Lake Burley-Griffin and contributed to their reputation as an emerging club.
All Shellharbour members who competed won medals and those competing for the first time at a regatta had a great time.
New members Philippa Lowe, Gayle Roland, Anders Roland and Wendy Boland won medals.
The biggest winner on the day was Chris Gavin who won three medals and was reported to have slept with his glittering haul.
Shellharbour Rowing Club would like to thank their major sponsors, Oak Flats Bowling Club and Thomas and Coffee, who have helped them purchase modern equipment for a bright future.
Learn to Row is held at the Shellharbour City Rowing Clubhouse, Deakin Reserve, Oak Flats, on most Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am. For more information phone Rick McAllister on 0412 910 755.
