IT was fun, friendship and fashion when one of Shellharbour Village's most popular destinations White House Collections and Café hosted the Biggest Morning Tea, in aid of the Cancer Council NSW, last Thursday.

White House owners Kylie Contarin and Linda Boulding wanted to do their bit to support the great work done on a daily basis by the Cancer Council.

They joined others across the state for Australia's Biggest Morning Tea.

Dozens of people turned out to enjoy the complimentary tea, coffee and snacks as well as take in a fashion parade of some of the latest pieces on offer at the White House.

While the morning was geared towards fun and remained light hearted there was a more serious side behind the festivities.

Kylie has been a breakthrough sponsor of the Cancer Council for the past three years, committing to a regular donation.

"I have had some cancer in my family and lost friends to the disease, so this is a very important charity to me," she said.

Kylie's mother has suffered with cancer for the past 11 years, she has survived both bowel and bladder cancer and come out the other side, now in great health.

Kylie also lost an uncle to cancer.

"Almost everyone will be touched by cancer in some way throughout their life. It is an important issue to everyone so by doing things like Biggest Morning Tea we can help others to talk about cancer and support the Cancer Council," Kylie said.

Patrons made a donation on the day and White House Collections and Café donated 10% from all home wares sold on the morning.
