BELLAMBI based company Seawind got off to the perfect start on its East Coast Tour of the USA when it was awarded Best Sailboat at the 36th Annual Newport International Boat Show in Newport, Rhode Island.
The Seawind 1160 was awarded the best sailboat on the grounds that it made the most significant contribution to the experience of recreational boating. Judges deemed that the boat brought something both new and exciting to the boating market place. This recent success follows on from Seawind 1160 taking out the Australian Sailboat of the Year in 2005.
The next big stop on the American Tour is the Annapolis Boat Show where the Seawind 1160 is in the running for the 2006 Boat of the Year.
