SIXTEEN year old Illawarra Sports High School student, Beau Henry of Warilla has been named Most Outstanding Junior Sportsperson of the Year by Warilla Sports Club. Beau is currently in his 12th consecutive year with the Warilla Gorillas JRLFC and is captain of the U16As, playing in the merged Group 7/Illawarra competition.

This year, Beau played in the Illawarra Steelers Harold Mathews U16 Cup side in the NSWRL, with his team finishing 3rd.

Beau has represented the Southern NSW U15 Schoolboys, the South Coast Group 7 U13s and U14s and made his First Grade debut for Warilla Senior RLFC this season.

I was pretty overwhelmed when i found out about the award, said Beau.

Id really like to say a big thank you to the Warilla Junior Rugby League Club, and all the other clubs for all their support.

My next goal is to play for the Junior Steelers U18s, and maybe one day make professional with the NRL.

Beaus dad, Greg says hes very proud of his sons achievements.

Hes put in the hard work, and earned this award, said Greg.

Its great for him and it creates a lot of opportunities.

Its up to Beau to grab hold of them and keep up the hard work..
