The countdown to the Illawarra and South Coast Region Local Business Awards starts this week and many local businesses are expected to participate.
For more than 20 years, the awards have recognised outstanding local business – and this year is no exception.
The awards are made possible by the generous support of the major sponsor, Commonwealth Bank Local Business Banking, and support sponsors Australian Defence Force – Defence Reserves Support, NSW Department of State and Regional Development, Online OHS, and Signage Networks TV.
Their commitment to the community and local businesses is paramount to the success of the awards.
Arnie Selvarajah, the general manager of Mid Eastern Australia, Commonwealth Bank Local Business Banking, said small businesses were a vital part of Australia’s economy.
“Commonwealth Bank Local Business Banking is proud to recognise and celebrate their achievements through our sponsorship of the Local Business Awards.
“We encourage all small businesses throughout NSW to enter the program and receive the recognition they deserve from customers and their community,” he said.
As the official media partner for the awards, the Lake Times will keep you up to date on the progress of the awards during the next 12 weeks, concluding with coverage on the presentation evening, which will be held at Shellharbour Workers’ Club on Wednesday, July 16.
Local businesses are encouraged to register their details online at www.thebusinessawards.com to enable customers to vote for them. Only registered businesses are able to receive votes.
