March Coaches of the Month ---- The first two outstanding soccer coaches of the month awards for the season 2006 have been announced. In Premier League, coach Gary Hatton of Tarrawanna, was the recipient after guiding his team to the top of the table with four league wins during the month for a maximum of 12 points. In the process they scored ten goals whilst conceding only 2. To top it off, Tarrawanna also had a win in the first round of the Bampton Cup. In first division, Bill Drossos of Wollongong Olympic is the most successful coach undefeated in?after?four rounds?with?10 points,after recording three wins and a? draw.? Bill? is a relative newcomer to the Illawarra soccer scene having coached previously in Sydney.Both Gary and Bill have won a $100 gift voucher from Rebel Sport(Shellharbour & Wollongong) who are a new sponsor of the IFA.Rebel Sport?also sponsors the Match of the Round Player award for the outstanding performer of the Sunday Match.

Dandaloo With NZ International --- In an?exciting move the soccer club,has signed New Zealand International Chris Jackson, capped 72 times representing his country over the last 10 seasons. He played last year in the NZ national league and is equally at home in defence or midfield. This signing is great for the Dandaloo Soccer Club and also a fantastic P.R. coup as to the attraction and standard of the local football code.

Soccer NSW State Cup Clash --- In the?third round of the Continental Tyres Cup, Dandaloo Soccer club, Illawarras 2005 Premier League Champions, have won?the right to?face NSW Premier League side,? Wollongong Wolves, on Wednesday night 12/4/06 at Crehan Park Cringila. The local Premier League side is eager to prove their potential and will challenge the Wolves all the way. A sell-out crowd is anticipating an exciting clash with the local boys out to show off against their illustrious opposition.

Bert Bampton/Youth Cup Round 2?--- The next phase of our Annual Cup Competition continues on Easter Monday 17/4/06 at eight grounds, kick-off 12.15 PM (Youth Grade) an 2.30 PM First Grade. In total?16 teams of?both Youth grade and First grade are still in the running.

Preview Round 7-Premier league --- Tarrawanna v Picton Rangers emerges as the top of the table clash requiring the host to perform well. Dapto v Wollongong United could be difficult for the home team. Kemblawarra v Bulli should see the visitors succeeding.

Cringila Lions v Albion Park White Eagles looks a certainty for the host. South Coast United v Shellharbour Suns might be difficult for the home side. Warilla Wanderers v Port Kembla needs a superior effort for the host to grab a point or three. Dandaloo v Coniston Lions should be a win for the host.

First Division draw --- Fernhill v Wollongong Olympic, West Illawarra v Woonona, Helensburgh Thistle v Kiama, Highlands United v Corrimal Rangers, Shellharbour City v Ruse, Berkeley v University, Bellambi v Balgownie Rangers.

Junior Soccer ----- Annual knock-outs for this year are planned as midweek games under floodlights. The U/16s boys Robert Brown Memorial tournament is one of the longest running knock-outs (over 30 years now). An equivalent Girls U/16s knock-out the Hudson Family sponsored trophy has been established in recent years following the astonishing growth of girls registration numbers in soccer.
