ALBION Park Women's Hockey Club secured their fortieth division one premiership with a 3-1 win over Rail in the grand final on the weekend.
Park scored first through captain/coach Natalie White-Muick in the second minute, an advantage they were able to hold for the remainder of the first half.
White-Muick made it 2-nil in the 41st minute after a mad scramble for the ball in front of goal.
The Rail were able to pull one back through a penalty corner by Cheryl Cohen before Emma Cobbin scored to seal Park's 3-1 victory.
This victory was a sweet one for the Park, as they were missing three regulars through pregnancy along with Australian representative Casey Eastham.
However, they welcomed back White-Muick and Courtney Shepstone for another campaign.
"This team was a great combination of youth and experience with our youngest player only 14 years of age and only four regular players over 21," Albion Park spokesperson Maree Lackenby said.
The division one team was coached by Natalie White-Muik and managed by hockey legends Dianne Gorman and Mary Marley.
Albion Park scored 52 goals to 21 against and used twenty one players in division one. One lowlight was Danni Gregson's absence for the second grand final in as many years due to knee surgery.
After the game, the division one awards were presented to Lyndal Ogilvie (player's player), Trina Lackenby (best and fairest) and Paige Thiele (most improved).
Lyndal Ogilvie and Airlie Ogilvie were named joint winners of senior player of the year.
